Curriculum Vitæ - Lim Chee Onn

Mr Lim Chee Onn is Senior International Adviser to Singbridge Pte Ltd, holding company of Singbridge International Singapore Pte Ltd which invests in, develops and manages integrated cities and sustainable urban solutions overseas which leverage on Singapore’s successful development experience.

Mr Lim chairs the Singapore-Suzhou Township Development, the Advisory Boards of Harvard Singapore Foundation and the Sim Kee Boon Institute of Financial Economics, Singapore Management University. He is also a Board Member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore and Business China, Honorary Chairman of the National Heritage Board, and Alternate Member, Council of Presidential Advisers. Mr Lim was Keppel Corporation Limited’s Executive Chairman from 2000 to 2008.

Mr Lim graduated with First Class Honours in Naval Architecture from Glasgow University, earned his Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University, and was conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Engineering by Glasgow University. He started his career in the Civil Service and was elected Member of Parliament from 1977 to 1992, Secretary-General NTUC from 1979 to 1983 and concurrently Minister without Portfolio, Prime Minister’s Office from 1980 to 1983.

He is currently Deputy Chairman, Seoul International Business Advisory Council, Economic Advisor to Jiangsu Provincial Government and Consultant to Yunnan Provincial Government, PRC. Mr Lim is also Member of the Governing Board, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP), and a member of the International Advisory Panel of the Institute of Water Policy at LKYSPP. He sits on the Board of Trustees of Asia Business Council and The Conference Board. Mr Lim is also a Board Director of Orica Limited*.

Conferred Distinguished Service Order by HE The President, Republic of Singapore and Commander, Order of the Crown, by HM King Albert II, Kingdom of Belgium, Mr Lim is married with 3 children.
